Introduction.

Bro. Bill “Are You Afraid to Die?”
Thank Mark and helpers for the cross.
Announce work day Saturday, or whenever you can get to it.

δύναμις (dynamis). n. fem. power, deed of power. Literally, it describes the ability to perform an activity; by extension, it refers to someone in a position of power or the force of a person’s action.

You know, many of you gets the wrong conception of Divine healing. Now, this is not a gift to perform miracles. Miracles is a separate and different gift from healing. Did you know that? The Bible said, “Do all have the gift of healing? Do all have the gift of miracles?” See? But miracles are performed.
That’s right. It’s a miracle every time somebody, a vision that happens and tells people what’s wrong with them. That’s a miracle. It’s Supernatural. That’s a miracle. 50-0821 - The Angel And The Commission
Moses had two signs, miracles and healing. (Rod becoming a serpent, healing of leprousy in hand)
Now according to Webster, a paradox is “something that seems incredible, but it’s true,” therefore a paradox then would be the same as a miracle.
A paradox is when something that seems like it just couldn’t be, the knowledge of the human mind; it’s altogether incredible, but yet it’s proven true.
Now, a miracle would be the same thing, for a miracle cannot be explained. A miracle is something that happens, and you cannot explain it, that make it a paradox. It’s incredible, but yet it’s the truth.    63-0801 - A Paradox
We believe in a God of Miracles.
Our Miracle working God:
Changed Abraham and Sarah’s bodies
Brought Plagues on the Egyptians
Opened the Red Sea for Moses
Stopped the sun for Joshua
Raised the dead Shunammite for Elisha
Delivered the Three Hebrew Children from the Fire
Delivered Daniel from the Lions
Turned the water to wine
Fed 5000 with a loaf and two fishes
Opened Bartimaeus eyes
Cast Legion out of the Maniac of Gadera
Raised up Christ on the third day.
Raised the lame man at the gate
Delivered Peter from Prison
Jehovah of miracles!
Hebrews 13:8 KJV 1900
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Why does God do miracles?
Bro. Branham talks about the eagle:
She gets up there before this little fellow, because why? She’s going to take him on a flight. He’s never been out of that nest. And she’s going to take him way up in the heavens and then shake him off, and let him up there to flop for himself, to learn how to fly. So she wants to show the authority she has.
She spreads forth her big wings to the strutting of the feathers, and she screams, and then she fans them. Oh, my! The feathers fly out of the nest, and everything else, she’s throwing wind in there like out of a jet plane. Knocks him backwards, and he lays on his little back, and he looks up and thinks, “Mother, how great thou art! How great thou art!”
“See how strong my wings are? I can pick you up and pack you anywhere I want to. I’m powerful!”
And that’s what God was doing to Israel. You know, He said, “As the eagle stirreth up her nest,” that’s the same thing. He found Israel in a howling land down there, and He brought him up out of Egypt and took him into the promised land, on the wings of an eagle.
And what was God doing these miracles? He was trying to get to His people that He was the mighty Jehovah.
And that’s what He’s trying to do today! He just doesn’t heal people just because He can heal. He’s trying to get to you that He’s the Resurrection, that He can make you well, He can raise up your body. He can do whatever He wants to, He’s Jehovah! 61-0723E - God Being Misunderstood
Miracles are sovereign.
Matthew 4:3 KJV 1900
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Matthew 4:4 KJV 1900
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
That’s why we don’t take up serpents. If we got bit by one, like Paul, in the line of duty, we believe in a God of miracles.
Most of the miracles we see in Scripture are associated with deliverance.
That was the case with Gideon.
Judges 6:7 KJV 1900
And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord because of the Midianites,
Judges 6:8 KJV 1900
That the Lord sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;
Judges 6:9 KJV 1900
And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;
Judges 6:10 KJV 1900
And I said unto you, I am the Lord your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.
God always sends a prophet for deliverance. He has done that for this age. If you need deliverance, heed the voice of the prophet. This Message is a Message of deliverance.
Judges 6:11 KJV 1900
And there came an angel of the Lord, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abi-ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.
Oh, we are living in a grand time! Immediately when the prophet went off the scene, what happened? The Lord came on the scene! As soon as John went off the scene, the Lord came on the scene! Very strange how God works, but He does it, works in mysterious way. 61-1231E - If God Be With Us, Then Where Is All The Miracles?
Judges 6:12 KJV 1900
And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.
Judges 6:13 KJV 1900
And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
This is a valid question.
If God is with us, why are we not delivered?
If you are in bondage to depression, pornography, fear, nicotine, alcohol, drugs or a religious spirit, you need Jehovah of miracles to come by your way.
When you need deliverance, ask “where are my miracles”.
If he did it for Joshua, if he did it for Moses, if he did it for Shamgar, he can do it for me too.
If He delivered Bro. Ben, if He delivered Bro. Darrell Ward, If He delivered Bro. JT, He can do that for me.
Listen how Scriptural, Gideon was. In otherwise, he said, “If…We understand that God is a great God of mighty workings. He’s a great God of miracles. And if He is for us, and if He is with us, and He is the same yesterday, today and forever, where can I see His miracles? Where can I see this God in action? Where is He at, if He is for us?”
The mighty man of valour could refer back to the old Word, and know It’s right, because he knowed this, that, God is a supernatural Being. And wherever a supernatural Being is, He’ll do supernatural signs, because the supernatural is in Him. You just can’t get out of it.
How can you stand in the face of wind, without having wind blowing? How can you get in water, without being wet? Water is wet. That’s the chemical of it. It’s wet! And when you get in water, you’re going to get wet. Right!
And when you get in the Presence of God, the supernatural, there is going to be supernatural signs and supernatural workings of a supernatural God. 61-1231E - If God Be With Us, Then Where Is All The Miracles?
Judges 6:14 KJV 1900
And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
Judges 6:15 KJV 1900
And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.
Judges 6:16 KJV 1900
And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
Judges 6:17 KJV 1900
And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.
Judges 6:18 KJV 1900
Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.
Gideon wasn’t going to settle for a good feeling, he wanted proof.
Judges 6:19 KJV 1900
And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.
Judges 6:20 KJV 1900
And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.
Judges 6:21 KJV 1900
Then the angel of the Lord put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the Lord departed out of his sight.
Bro. Branham taught us the greatest miracle was the new birth.
The same One I talked of this morning! When you lay your soul upon His brass altar of judgment, what takes place? If He’s the same God, He’ll take the sacrifice!
You’ve offered it in sincerity upon His altar, He’ll consume that sacrifice, and the world will be gone out of you. Just the smoke will fall away. The sacrifice will be gone. Yes.
“If You be God, and You are the God of the Bible, that our fathers tell that performed miracles, let me see You perform a miracle, or let me see some sort of a miracle, that I know that God has met with me.”
Now may I say this. If God still remains God, if God is the same God He was in the days gone by, you don’t have to go up and shake hands with the preacher, you don’t have to go up put your name on a book. Them things are all right; nothing against it.
(He explains how church members act)
If God remains God, lay your sinful soul on His altar, and He’ll touch it with His Word and His Power. And the world will be gone from you, and then you’ll be a new creature, if He remains God.
He was God of the Old Testament. He was God of the New Testament. He’s the same God today. “Yesterday, today, and forever.”
And you know then, down in your heart, that a supernatural work has been done by a supernatural Being. When you once drank, and smoked, and lied; and you women loved the world so much, you kept wearing your make-up, and your short hair, and doing other things you did;
and you find out that something happens, that all the devils in hell couldn’t make you do it again. Something happened, a God of miracles performed!
What did He do? Changed your vile heart, changed your desires, changed your nature. A supernatural Word, by a supernatural God, made a creature of time to a creature of Eternity. Amen!
Took the world out of you, and put Christ in you, the hope of Glory. And you’re filled with His Spirit, and ready to meet Him.
God be God; where is His miracles? If God is with us, where is His miracles?
If God is with the Methodist church, why is all the women still wearing bobbed hair? If God is with the Baptist church, then why does the pastor still smoke cigarettes, many of them?
Why do they still deny the Power of God, to heal the sick, and to raise the dead, and to speak in tongues, and interpret tongues, and gifts of prophecy? Why do they still deny it, if the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament is still the same God?
If the God of the New Testament, the Holy Ghost, is still the God the Pentecostals claim, why don’t they break down their walls of partition and fussing at one another, and become born-again Christians?
Sure. No, one won’t even speak to the other one. See, the sacrifice hasn’t been consumed. They go through sensations, they’ve done that all their…All through the ages, under idols, they done sensations.
But the God of the Bible, that’s the God, same yesterday, today, and forever, burns up the world and all the difference, makes us new creatures in Christ. Yes. Jesus said, “These testify and tell you Who I am.” 61-1231E - If God Be With Us, Then Where Is All The Miracles?
Look at Gideon’s response to this Miracle Working God.
Judges 6:22 KJV 1900
And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the Lord, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord God! for because I have seen an angel of the Lord face to face.
Judges 6:23 KJV 1900
And the Lord said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.
Judges 6:24 KJV 1900
Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah-shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi-ezrites.
Jehovah-Shalom “Yaweh is Peace”

Conclusion.

The sun is always shining, the only thing that keeps us from seeing it is the clouds.
Take the clouds away, then what happens, the sun is right there; the only thing you have to do today. Say not, “O Jesus, come and heal me! O Jesus, give me the Holy Ghost!” Just take the clouds away, He’s already there! 61-1231E - If God Be With Us, Then Where Is All The Miracles?
